Women’s’ Warrior Workshops
We acknowledge with gratitude that our work takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. We recognize the ongoing impacts of colonization and are committed to facilitating our workshops in ways that honour Indigenous resilience, knowledge, and leadership.
We offer trauma-informed and culturally responsive workshops designed to support women in building resilience, strengthening mental wellness, and fostering empowerment. Our sessions provide safe, inclusive spaces where participants can explore the impacts of systems embedded and interpersonal trauma, reclaim their inner warrior, while building practical coping tools to use on their pathway to healing.
Areas of Focus
Our workshops address key issues that impact women’s emotional, behavioural, spiritual, and psychological well-being, including:
- Intergenerational Trauma – understanding how to disrupt impacts of unresolved trauma across families and communities.
- Racism and Microaggressions – examining their impact on cultural identity, caregiving practices, psychological safety & learning psychological first aid.
- Lateral Violence – identifying the impact of internalized shame & powerlessness in perpetuating lateral violence & learning to address and disrupt harmful patterns of oppression within families & communities.
- Acculturation across cultures – developing a two-eyed seeing approach to integration into community by understanding intersectionality & bridging cultures to achieve self advocacy/mastery, chosen identity, belonging, independence, and generosity.
- Trauma Pathways to Healing & Wellness Tools – applying principles of neuroplasticity to foster intergenerational healing, with grounding techniques, mindfulness practices, story telling, and building personalized wellness containers.
Our Approach
Facilitation is interactive, strength-based, and feminist-informed, combining short presentations with group dialogue, storytelling, creative activities, and wellness practices. The goal is to empower participants with both knowledge and practical tools, while fostering community connection and collective healing.
