Surrey Psychologist
Welcome to Dr. McNichols website!

As a Zambian born woman who emigrated to the UK and then Canadian, I respectfully acknowledge that as an uninvited Settler, I live, work, learn and share knowledge on the unceded traditional and ancestral lands of the Coast Salish peoples including Kwantlen, Musqueam, Katzie, Semiahmoo, Tsawwassen, Qayqayt and Kwikwetlem First Nations.

I am registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (the regulatory body for psychology in BC) to practice psychology in the province.

I have been providing individual, family and group counselling to children, youth and adults for 15+ years. My clinical experience includes work with children and youth with special needs and their families, immigrant families, residential school survivors, and survivors of childhood trauma.

I have worked with various public and private agencies in diverse communities in the lower mainland, providing services to children, youth and families with serious mental health concerns. This includes working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health facilities. I have a particular interest in working with families and individuals who have been impacted by trauma, including race and gender related, and childhood trauma.

I work with couples, individual adults, youth and families to address a variety of concerns including marital, relationship and work-related stress, mood and anxiety disorders as well as parent-teen relational difficulties.
